Supporting a Stronger Bedford County: A Look Back at Cooper Steel’s Christmas Giving
Trading our hard hats for holiday spirit, our team put our “Give Big, Expect Little” value into action this month. We’re honored to share how Cooper Steel employees supported Bedford County through special Christmas initiatives — reinforcing our commitment to what matters most: our community.
This season is all about giving, and few things are more exciting than picking out the perfect gift for someone special. Our team joined in by shopping for 35 local elementary students through the Angel Tree program.
We also supported East Side Elementary School’s annual ‘Bee Bucks’ store for students. Throughout the year, students earn ‘Bee Bucks’ for achievements like attendance, good behavior, and participation. Before the holiday break, the school transforms its gym into a store where students can shop for Christmas gifts for family, friends, and themselves using the points they’ve earned — an activity they look forward to every year!
Cooper Steel employees provide many of the items for the store, donating everything from household décor and toys to clothing, accessories, and gift wrap supplies. Additionally, 18 of our team members volunteered at the event, helping students select and wrap gifts for their loved ones.
Thank you to our amazing team for giving their time to make this season special for local students, and to the schools for their continued partnership as we work to strengthen the generations of tomorrow!
