Records are made to be broken, March 2016 will go down in the Cooper Record Book for 3,202 tons of steel Fabricated. The previous record was right at 2,109 tons back in October 2013. The Shop's productivity continues to reap the Cap X monies invested back into the Fabrication process. Some of the improvements include, the Peddinghaus plate processor, Peddinghaus beam line, and the Peddinghaus angle line. These investments coupled with the outside overhead crane way have increased productivity. Some of the other improvements include the lighting and roofing. With all these changes and the Amazon Buckeye job in Ohio, the perfect storm was created. The results were almost a 50% increase in production over the previous record for one month. With this perfect storm you have to have the perfect employees, and at Cooper our teamwork and dedication to hard work really paid off. A big Congratulations to all of us on this great record and milestone of achievement.
