EXPERIENCED ON-SITE PROJECT MANAGER
The On-Site Project Manager is responsible for the on-site management of Cooper Steel’s projects across the country. They will ensure the safe, timely, and cost-efficient completion of projects by overseeing all phases of erection. This includes but is not limited to working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate the
delivery and storage of equipment and material, operate within budget, and monitor/track progress of the project.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote Cooper Steel’s culture throughout the jobsite by maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, and Production
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain a strong, safe, culture
- Ensure the smooth and efficient steel erection of projects
- Use erection and fabrication drawings to ensure structural steel is installed per design and in accordance to Cooper Steel’s quality standards
- Work with shipping coordinators to ensure delivery schedules meet the needs of the erector and project as a whole
- Be a liaison between the general contractor and the steel erection subcontractors
- Work alongside and negotiate with subcontractors to meet the needs of the project
- Coordinate and communicate with the customer to maintain an accurate understanding of their needs concerning the project
- Stay well versed in and up to date on all drawings and design changes
- Complete all required paperwork as needed including RFI’s, NCRs, daily reports, progress trackers, etc.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all customers and sub-contractors involved in project
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel erection, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
